They were together for a long time.
I've been a fan of Theresa Caputo ever since her show Long Island Medium premiered on TLC back in 2011.
I'm not going to lie, I'm still a little skeptical about some aspects of the show, but if there was one thing I was sure of, it was how much Theresa and her husband, Larry, loved each other.
At the time of the series premiere, the couple had been married for 22 years, and it showed.
The couple, who share two adult children, Larry Jr. and Victoria, had been married for nearly three decades before parting ways.
"After 28 years of marriage, we have decided to legally separate," read the statement. "We will always love each other and our two wonderful children. We are united in supporting each other and our family. Please respect our privacy during this time."
Two years down the line, speaking to Us Weekly exclusively, Theresa addressed whether she missed being married. “I do, but I don’t. I miss what once was,”
“I’m grieving right now. I’m grieving my 30, almost 34 years, with Larry,” she continued. “This is a grieving process, but things weren’t the same that they were 34 years ago. So, of course, I miss that aspect. But the way that things were at the end, no — I don’t miss that.”
Theresa also admitted that she doesn't struggle when she sees Larry with other women. She wants him to be happy.
“At the end of the day, that’s what we want out of life, is for us to be happy and to live our best lives. We always have to love, honor and respect ourselves. We’re both doing that and respecting each other in the same token,” she said. “So you can’t ask for anything more.”
Theresa also confirmed that she is trying to date again. It's no easy feat - things have changed a lot in the past 20 years. She also opened up about the idea of getting married again.
“I never thought of it, and I have to say I don’t know. Right now, I would have to say no,” she told Us. “I’m very content where I am in my life. I’m very blessed. Do I want to have someone to share companionship with and to have someone? Absolutely. But, to actually get married, I don’t know.”
