Giraffe Manor, an exclusive boutique hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, has been called the most Instagrammed property in the world. For good reason of course.
Where else can you enjoy a meal with an endangered Rothschild’s giraffe?
This should be on everyone's bucket list, right?
The Rothschild's giraffe is one of the most endangered distinct populations of giraffe, with only 1,669 individuals estimated in the wild in 2016.
The Safari Collection owns a portfolio of properties in Kenya - Giraffe Manor; Sasaab, Sala's Camp, and Solio Lodge. Descended from settler families, Tanya and Mikey are fourth-generation Kenyans each with long histories in East Africa. They established the collective. Their mission is to provide guests with a unique and highly personalized safari experience while making a significant contribution to the conservation of Kenya’s wildlife, cultures, and ecosystems.
Giraffe Manor was built in 1932 and modeled after a Scottish hunting lodge. The first giraffe to roam the lawn was in the 1970s when then owners Jock and Betty Leslie-Melville first adopted an orphaned Rothschild’s giraffe called Daisy.
Guests of the hotel are treated to an all-inclusive board, chauffeured vehicles for sightseeing, and will get to feed the resident Rothschild's giraffes. It can be a little pricey for a stay though. For a superior room, you are looking at $875 USD per person, per night.
For those of you who might be interested in donating, the Safari Collection has teamed up with Omaze to give you the chance to win another incredible safari in Kenya. Donations support the Giraffe Conservation Foundation and start at $14.
