The drama continues.
Grief is easily preyed on. Dog The Bounty Hunter has certainly been the cause of many tongues wagging these past few weeks. His antics with longtime family friend, Moon Angell have seen their fair share of scrutiny, both from the public and from his family.
Dog's wife Beth died after battling throat cancer for almost 2 years on June 26. Despite the family rift it caused, Dog had Beth's former BFF and personal assistant Moon Angell move in with him. She went as far as to allegedly get rid of all Beth's clothes and replace them with her own.
The family was not happy. Especially Baby Lyssa Chapman who tweeted: "If someone who met your family by dating your brother, tried to date your father after your step- mom died what would you do ? If you went to your mothers closet and saw she moved all her clothes and replaced them with her own, what would you do ?"
Next the pair went on Dr. Oz together, where they anwered tough questions like: "Would you call your relationship intimate?" and there was some kind of surprise proposal that God asked Dog to do while he was in the bathroom.
"I didn’t tell you I was going to do this, but this is the Dr Oz show,’ he revealed live on air. ‘I think this will put a stop to a lot of this. Moon Angell, will you marry me?"
Moon answered: "We’re friends, I love you as a friend. I don’t see you as that, I love you and Beth as my friends. I can’t marry you, at this very moment, I don’t see you as that."
“The world sees him as a bounty hunter. Tough and rough, and ‘I can handle everything’…When I’m at home with him, he’s not.” says Moon Angell in the interview. Despite the proposal, Dog and Moon assured fans they are just close friends and there is nothing romantic going on between them.
As for the clothes in the closet? Moon revealed “He would smell Beth and he would go in there and sit down and cry and cry and cry,” she said. “He asked me, ‘Do you think that you could take Beth’s things out of the closet?’ … It was because he just couldn’t do it anymore.”
Moon has packed up her belongings and got out of dodge. Angell moved out of Chapman's house just this week, according to a report by TMZ . Sources close to Dog told them that there was a heart-to-heart conversation that ended with Dog asking Moon to leave. Angell was reportedly alright with this arrangement.
TMZ also revealed that there was an understanding between Dog and Moon. Living with him was only temporary. She originally moved in to become his support system, helping around the house, organizing his life. Obviously Beth's death left a huge void in his life and he hasn't been coping well.
Dog is reportedly feeling better and excited about the future, taking some time focussing on himself.
