This is every parent's worse nightmare. I can't imagine how the mother of Aurora Rodriguez-Sambrano must have felt when she looked into her daughter's bedroom, only to find her gone.
Gina M Sambrano is desperate to find her daughter. Aurora is 5-feet 2-inches tall, with greenish-brown eyes, and brown hair with blonde streaks. She has a mustard-colored backpack and a small gray duffel bag.
Authorities have been contacted and flyers have been put up. There is a command post set up at American Legion Post 354, 8071 Whitaker St, Buena Park, CA 90621. Volunteers are accepting help in the distribution of flyers and canvassing the areas within Orange County. They are also leaning towards the possibility of her being in the Los Angeles area.
Gina Sambrano says that her daughter ran away from home between 11 pm on October 12 and 6:30 am on the 13th. Other details in initial posts include the fact that Aurora is NOT into drugs or alcohol and she doesn't have very many friends, making it more difficult for her family to find her. She also doesn't have her phone with her. "She has behavior issues, she's defiant and lies a lot," says her mother.
Sambrano has been posting her picture on Facebook, writing: "AURORA...We LOVE YOU, we need you home, we are NOT mad at you, we just NEED to know you are safe. WHEREVER you are, we will come to get you...PLEASE come home Aurora, we love you so much! @aurora_rodsam"
