Arrested: Married Police Chief Jailed After Viral Facebook Post By Mistress Exposes Him

Jason Collier was arrested by Texas Rangers and and taken to the Hutchinson County Jail.

Jason Collier is a married Texas police chief and father of four who has been put in the hot seat by a scorned woman.

His now ex-girlfriend says he "is living a double/triple life" in a viral post that has been shared over 40,000 times since January 26, 2020.

"He lied to me and presented me with fake annulment documents when I found out he was married. I also found out about a 2nd girlfriend, Kristi, last night. He has lied to us, our children, and asked us both to marry him. He is a poor representative of your town. He would also visit me in Amarillo when he was on shift. We just returned from vacation in Taos on Sunday - meanwhile, his other GF was told he was on work assignment in Portland, OR."

Collier who is the chief of the Stinnett Police Department in Texas was put on leave after a Facebook post spread throughout the small northern Texas Panhandle city of 1,800 people and then, across the internet.

In the comments on Steinmetz’s post, a third woman came forward to say she was also dating Collier, and other women have said they have had similar experiences with him.

It seems as though Steinmetz found out about Collier's true colors through a mutual friend of his wife.

The Stinnett Police Department’s Facebook page and Collier’s personal profile have been deleted from Facebook.

“The city is taking this seriously and will be looking into any violations of city policy. Chief Jason Collier has been placed on leave while the city investigations,” the statement from city manager Durk Downs said. “As per city policy, we will refrain from commenting on any personal issues of personnel in a public forum.”

A photo of Collier and his wife has been shared in the viral post. It's Collier wishing her a 'Happy Anniversary' and saying that he falls short of being a 'Godly Husband'.

Collier’s wife has not commented about the Facebook drama. They have been married since 2016.

Steinmetz added to the viral post that “He took me on shift with him last week as well, but wouldn’t introduce me to the ladies in the office since according to him, ‘they’re b****** and one is mad I won’t date her sister.’ Everything he told me and my family is a lie and is a poor representation of your town. He clearly has no morals or ethics. He has also driven to visit me in Amarillo while on shift in his police vehicle. Not only has he hurt me, he has hurt my children with his lies … The jig is up, Jason.”

Steinmetz added, “So anyway, I hope this serves as a warning to anyone else he is lying to and manipulating. I feel stupid having this made public, but will take the embarrassment if it saves anyone else from the heartache.”

Stinnett Mayor Colin Locke said Wednesday night, “There’s a possible violation of city policy,” though he did not want to further expand on the city’s statement.

Many speculated that perhaps it was due to the fraudulent annulment papers he created.

And today, January 28, 2020, the former Stinnett Police Chief Jason Collier was arrested after being placed on administrative leave Wednesday. The City of Stinnett Facebook page confirms that Collier has resigned.
