In the world we live in, many people have a camera surveilling their home.
It has to be one of the most popular questions on my neighborhood Facebook group. Which one do you have, how much do you pay, which do you recommend, etc.
When I came across this post on my feed today, the words that came to mind were how refreshing. Dare I even suggest that it was wholesome? Most of the time I see posts about how annoying it is to have kids play in their lawn. Sometimes though, the internet surprises you and this, my friends, is one of those times.
CanyonChasers is a YouTube channel that mainly features motorcycle how-to's, riding techniques, product reviews, and things of that nature.
One of the producers of CanyonChasers, Dave, noticed he was getting a motion alert notification every night from his driveway security camera.
Guess what? It was always the same kid who was 'tearing up' his driveway. The young offender looks to be about 4, maybe 5-years-old.
Something needed to be done. How did Dave deal with kids playing in his driveway? Well, he built them a racetrack, of course.
"Every night I would get an alert from my driveway security camera, and at first I was a bit annoyed, but then I found myself looking forward to the evening alert. And then inspiration struck, in the form of my wife giving me this great idea. What transpired has turned into the best part of an otherwise dreary pandemic summer."
This video truly brought me joy. How often do we see videos highlighting everything that's wrong with the world? Not this time.
One of the coolest things that a person can do to support the youths in his neighborhood.
