For generations, Krispy Kreme have been serving us with delicious doughnuts and coffee.
Way back in 1933, an 18-year-old named Vernon Rudolph is said to have purchased a recipe for a doughnut. While it's origins are shrouded in mystery, it is believed that the recipe came from Ishmael Armstrong, who was inspired by an Ohio River barge cook named Joseph LeBeouf who was famous for his light and fluffy doughnuts. Thus, an empire was born.
When you see a neon red sign light up, you know to move quickly for a delicious doughnut beloved by many. This week, Krispy Kreme decided to make dessert a little sweeter for fans by transforming three of America’s classic desserts into delicious doughnuts. Basing my opinion purely on the pictures, they did not disappoint.
These doughnuts will be available for a limited time at participating shops across the U.S., starting June 8. All Canadian shops are participating with the Banana Pudding and Mud Pie doughnuts only.
The Dessert Collection features doughnut versions of three classic dessert favorites including – Banana Pudding, Coconut Cake, and Mississippi Mud Pie!
