Joy-Anna Duggar Shows Off Body 5 Months After Giving Birth In Unconventional Clothes

"I always feel better when eating healthy and exercising," said Joy-Anna - but her choice of clothes caused people to scratch their heads.

Joy-Anna is the daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the famous couple who have 19 kids. She's known to be a bit of a rebel amongst the siblings and made headlines when it started to look like she had conceived her first child outside of wedlock. Joy-Anna and her husband, Austin Forsyth, have a son Gideon and on August 21, 2020, the couple welcomed their daughter Evelyn Mae Forsyth.

"We have been dreaming of this day. She has the best personality, is easy going, and loves to be held," wrote Joy-Anna at the time. "She has her nights and days mixed up, but honestly, I love it! Getting to spend that quiet, quality time with her through the night has been SO special!✨"

After the birth of her daughter, Joy-Anna revealed that she was focusing on eating healthily and exercising recently on Instagram late last month.

“Healthy habits don’t come [naturally] for me,” the Counting On star wrote via Instagram. “It’s something I have to work on each day, but I always feel better when eating healthy and exercising.”

In a video via Instagram Stories, the mom of two tells fans she’s “out of shape” but that getting some fresh air was “fun.”

“I did it. I only ran, like, maybe .3 miles, and the rest I just walked. I think I’m only gonna do, like, .8 today,” she says in the video, “because I’m freezing and did not pack running clothes.” She then proceeds to point the camera to her feet, which showed her bare legs and what appeared to be a pair of flats. Yes, it appears that Joy-Anna has been running in a skirt.

It's no secret that the Duggars live by a strict set of rules. Their beliefs are always front and center, and that's totally okay. But because they're in the public eye, they're subjected to a lot of criticism. While their exact religion may not be known, the family has been outspoken on their belief that women should not wear pants for modesty reasons. They have even referenced the Bible for this decision.

During an interview with TLC, Michelle Duggar explained the family's choice.

"As we studied as a family, we found we could come up with our idea of what we thought modesty was, but we really wanted to see what the scriptures said about it," the Mother Duggar said. "Our interpretation was that from the neck down to the knee should be covered. By keeping those private areas covered, there's not any 'defrauding' going on. My kids are taught the definition of defrauding as stirring up desires that cannot be righteously fulfilled. We don't believe in defrauding others by the way we dress."

Since giving birth to her daughter, Joy-Anna has been sharing just what it's like to have two little ones running around the house, and frankly if she wants to run in a skirt, so be it.

Frankly, all that matters is that Joy-Anna is happy, healthy, and living her best life.
