In case you didn't know, RuPaul Andre Charles is an American drag queen, actor, model, singer, songwriter, and television personality.
To call him an ispiration would be a total understatement.
If you haven't watched any of the 12 seasons + of RuPaul's Drag Race, you have not lived darling.
“If you can’t love yourself how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else?”
RuPaul went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 7th. He's currently doing a loy of press. Not only does the new season of Drag Race premiere on February 28 but Ru also became the first drag queen to grace the cover of Vanity Fair.
Mama Ru also has a new Netflix show called AJ and the Queen AND will be hosting Saturday Night Live February 8th! His appearance will be historic as the first drag performer to ever host the show.
While questioning RuPaul about the Vanity Fair cover, Jimmy got quite the shock. Ru actually took it upon himself to correct Fallon who calls him a... drag queen.
Just look a Ru's face:
“DRAG QUEEN? DRAG QUEEEEN?!?” exclaims Ru. For goodness sake, look a Jimmy's face:
You just know he thought he had made a big mistake. His internal diolog probably went something like this: "Did I offended him? Did I offend the LGBTQ community... is my late night career over..."
“I am the Queen of Draaaaaaaaaag,” RuPaul finishes, explaining the error.
Fallon immediately breaks into a halfhearted chuckle, and takes a deep breath. It’s truly comedic genius on Ru's part.
Jimmy was so scared he couldn't even pull his fake laughs off right. “I apologize; I’m embarrassed.” he says.
