Amber Rose is a model and actress. She is best known for some of what I would call risky modelling work and dating Kim Kardashian's now-husband Kanye West.
I remember her from back when I watched America's Next Top Model.
Well she has joined the tattoo face club with her latest ink, and it's said to have been inspired by the death of Kobe Bryant.
The 36-year-old says that the tattoo pays tribute to her two kids, Sebastian Thomaz and Slash Edwards.
The words "Bash Slash" are written across her forehead.
She appeared on the Wednesday edition of Fox Soul's series "One on One with Keyshia Cole" to share some insight as to why she decided on this tribute. It's a controversial way to honor your children and not everyone is going to love it.
"I don't want this to sound corny or anything but kinda after Kobe (Bryant) died, it made me reflect on my life. I don't want people to be like, 'Oh Kobe died and you went and got a tattoo,' but it was kinda like that." Amber shared on Fox Soul TV .
She also shared that Kobe's death wasn't the only reason for the tattoo.
Another reason was her father's battle with cancer at the age of 40.
"He went through remission and he's good now but he almost died," she continued. "I've been wanting this tattoo for a long time and I was like, 'You know what, life is so short just do it. Just live your best life.' "
Amber Rose is not the first one to get a tattoo in honor of Kobe.
The Game, LA based rapper and actor got one earlier this week.
2 Chainz, a rapper, songwriter and media personality got Kobe's number 24 on his legs.
Odell Beckham Jr., wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns, got a portrait of Kobe inked on his torso.
